50 Free Christmas cards from Shutterfly

I just wanted to let you know about the 50 free card promotion that I read about on another blog. I thought this was a really cool idea. When ever you can get something free is a good thing, especially at this time of year everyone is trying to save on something. The one thing I like is how you can start a project and save it for later to finish. That is what I will have to do this year. Also how they will save your photos for you. So you can store them some where and know they will be safe. The other thing I like is the variety that they have to offer. Just check out some of the things they have to offer, and not just Christmas cards, you can to calendars, invitations and other projects.

Some of the things that I liked were the college look of them, which is what is going to work for our family this year and I like all the different was that you can make your family pictures in a fun college for people to see. Some of the ones that I like are.

First Snow!!!!!

Hyrum was have breakfast and saw that it was snowing. He want to go out right then, but the mean parents that we are we made him finish is breakfast and then went out. So as soon as we talked in him into finishing the cereal we got his coat and layers of other clothes on and went out. He loved it, and to have both Dad and Mom come out I think he thought was the coolest thing ever. Here are just a few pictures from our back yard. I am glad we went out when we did another couple of hours and the snow was gone.
Ready to go.

Just dancing around

This one is one of my favorites, he is trying to get the dog to come the fence. He tried really hard

PICTURES PICTURES!!!!

I have a lot of catching up to do so this is what has been happening over that last few months. So enjoy all of the pictures. Hopefully I remembered everything.

We started the fall off by getting ready for football season. This is what we gave NIck's brother for his birthday and Hyrum had to try it on first.

These are just a few pictures I got of Nick's Birthday. We just had family come over and had pizza and cheese cake (cup cakes for those who didn't like cheese cake)

These are just a few pictures of Hyrum and Nick trying on Nick's CERT uniform. Hyrum loves every minute of it.

We went to the Western Idaho fair to take Hyrum to the animals. He loved it. He couldn't believe all the different animals in one place. I think he favorite was the bunnies and little chickens. The little chickens followed him around the whole cage.

This is one of my favorites, Hyrum loved watching the lighting storm one night. He thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I can't believe that he is big enough to be in a big boy bed. He loves his bed. We struggled with the first couple of days with nap time, but he did really well today. Night time hasn't been a issue. He thinks it is really cool. We will see how he does when he sees his brother in the crib.

Nick is doing school work and Hyrum had to hang out with him. He loves to be with Daddy.

For the last few Saturday's there has been Football in the field behind our house. Hyrum loves to look out the windows and watch every Saturday morning. He will ask for it almost every morning but get really excited when I tell them they are out there.

The last few pictures are the progress of Tyler's room. It was stressful but fun to do something different and fun in his room. We will have to do something in Hyrum's room next. He enjoyed the process too. He enjoyed going in a looking to see what mom and dad had done next. Thanks to all that helped me with it.

We will be having another little boy join our family in December, we are excited to see what things it will bring.

Happening for the month of June

A lot happened in June and I know that was like almost two months ago or was depending on how you look at it. Hyrum went on his first plane ride to Texas. We went and visited some friends that use to live here. We decided to go while Nick was in boot camp for CERT. He did pretty well on the trip. I didn't take a whole lot of pictures silly me. I kept forgetting to bring it with me. Hyrum had a ton of fun with Sean and Abbey. He enjoyed playing with them and their dog. Here are a few pictures from that trip.

Hyrum on the plane for the first time

Hyrum hanging out with his buddy Sean. They were friends from the beginning.

Hyrum playing fetch with their dog. He thought this was the coolest thing ever.

Then after our trip to Texas we were home for about a week and then we went to a family reunion in Utah, the Pack reunion. He went swimming a ton and just had fun with all the cousins that came. Hyrum loved the water, except when he went under he didn't care for that much, but he recovered nicely. I remembered my camera for this trip so here are just a few and the many I took.

Hyrum and I at the water park just floating around the pool. This was taken towards the end so he was ready to go.
Hyrum at the water park we went on the day of the reunion. He love chasing this ball around the water, and going down the slide they had. My little dare devil.

Here is a pictures of Hyrum and I at the place were we stayed, walking back from the pool.

Hyrum decided he wanted to walk him self back to room.
This was Hyrum at Great Grandma's just after the water park. Hryum and Hannah (his cousin) found the grapes in the cooler. They thought that was pretty cool.

This was at the end of our trip going back home we stopped off to take a picture of us and the dinosaur. The Dino was really hot he didn't care for that much.

After Hryum and I got back from Texas we went to Nick's graduation from CERT a few days later. I was so proud of him. He was really tired and ready to go home after a week of training. I know this is a little out of place but I didn't want to move the pictures up. His graduations happened before the reunion. The pictures aren't that clear, for some reason my camera didn't want to work that day.

Happenings for May

A lot has been going on for us, but then not so much has been going on. Nick has been working out non-stop to prepare for the CERT team at work. He has worked really hard and it finally paid off. He passed everything he needed to and now will go to a weeks worth of training or boot camp so he can learn all the drills and everything else he may need to know. Meanwhile Hyrum and I will be going to go to Texas to see some friends that we have not seen in forever. Hyrum also got his first hair cut about a week and half ago. It was quit the ordeal finding the place, but we found it and he did pretty well. He wanted to see what she was doing but, but got to sit in a really cool car and play while she cut his hair. I will post pictures of that when I can figure out how to get them off my phone. I hope you enjoy the pictures of Nick and Hyrum.

Hyrum's first hair cut. He looks so much older to me now.

Nick in is CERT uniform he will wear for the boot camp.

I stole this from a friends blog, I loved it so much I had to put it on here.

What a great story...

Why do I always have to be the one that starts to do laundry and there's no detergent? Well, I guess it was time for me to do my store run, which included light bulbs, paper towels, trash bags and Clorox.

So off I go.I scurried around the store, gathered up my goodies, and headed for the checkout counter only to be blocked in the narrow aisle by a young man that appeared to be about sixteen years old. I wasn't in a hurry, so I patiently waited for the boy to realize that I was there. This was when he waved his hands excitedly in the air and declared in a loud voice, "Mommy, I'm over here."

It was obvious now, he was mentally challenged, and also startled as he turned and saw me standing so close to him, waiting to squeeze by. His eyes widened and surprise exploded on his face as I said, "Hey Buddy, what's your name?" "My name is Denny and I'm shopping with my mother," he responded proudly."Wow," I said, "that's a cool name; I wish my name was Denny, but my name is Hal." "Hal, like Halloween?" he asked."Yes," I answered. "How old are you Denny?" "How old am I now, Mommy?" he asked his mother as she slowly came over from the next aisle. "You're fifteen years old Denny; now be a good boy and let the man pass by."

I acknowledged her and continued to talk to Denny for several more minutes about summer, bicycles and school. I watched his brown eyes dance with excitement because he was the center of someone's attention. He then abruptly turned and headed toward the toy section. Denny's mom had a puzzled look on her face and thanked me for taking the time to talk with her son. She told me that most people wouldn't even look at him, much less talk to him. I told her that it was my pleasure and then I said something I have no idea where it came from, other than by the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I told her that there are plenty of red, yellow and pink roses in God's garden, however, "Blue Roses" are very rare and should be appreciated for their beauty and distinctiveness. You see, Denny is a Blue Rose and if someone doesn't stop and smell that rose with their heart and touch that rose with their kindness, then they've missed a blessing from God. She was silent for a second, then with a tear in her eye she asked, "Who are you?"

Without thinking I said, "Oh, I'm probably just a dandelion but I sure love living in God's garden."

The next time you see a BLUE ROSE don't turn your head and walk off, take the time to smile and say Hello. Because by the grace of God this mother could be you. This could be your child, grandchild, niece, nephew. What a difference a moment can mean to that person or their family. From an old dandelion. Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

Happy Easter
Hyrum did well with the looking for easter eggs. The were hidden pretty easy but he picked up the process very well. He would go and get one, shake it and then bring it back to the coffee table. He had a lot of fun when he realized that there was something inside. These are just a few pictures of his morning.
