Hyrum at 9 months

I thought I would give you an update how things were going for our family. It doesn’t seem like 9 months have gone by so fast. He is getting to be so big and independent. It seems like the days are just flying by. He is doing so much at this point, he loves life and there isn’t a day that goes by you can not get him to smile or laugh at least once. He loved Halloween; he may not have known it was really any different compared to his normal days. He enjoyed the kids coming to the door for candy, he also loved playing in the candy bowl (he didn’t get any as much as I am sure he wanted some), and hearing the noise the wrappers made on the candy. You would have never even guessed that he had shots that morning. He cried when she poked him, but as soon as she put the band aide on he was smiling and wanting to play with everyone around him. I feel really lucky to have a happy boy. He is doing the army crawl and is really close to have is tummy off the ground he doesn’t like it much. He will walk a little bit if you hold his fingers. Therefore, I thought I would let you all know what he is up to and what things he is doing and enjoys doing a long with the things that he is not very fond of.

I will start with the things he is not very fond of, (the list is shorter)

He Hates….

When meal time is over.

To have things taken away from him.

When people leave the room

To sit when some one is right next to him

Things he likes…

He loves to smile

Laugh

To be tickled

Crawl to anything that is not baby toys

Loves Yogurt melts

Cheerios

What ever is on mom’s plate

Crawling to whatever he can

Sitting up on his own

Taking small baby steps while holding your hand

Cell phones

Cameras (he stops what ever cute thing is doing to look at the camera)

Climbing into your arms

Standing in his crib (new just today)

Playing Peek-a-boo

Dad’s toy snakes

Center of attention

Exploring new things

He just loves to be where anyone is at. He is just a happy boy and we love to have him around. He is your typical 9 month old. If some will talk to him he is your best friend. I love to have him around and the times I have to leave him to work; it just kills me to leave him.

As for Nick and I we just love being parents. We toured to prison last Thursday and it was quit interesting to see where he works. I got to see a lot of what they do. He still loves it there and is trying out the SWAT team in April. As for me I am just staying at home and loving every minute of it. I wish I could always stay home. I feel bad for Nick when he has to go to work. Nick and I are still trying to get the house together and fixed the way we like it and how we want it. It is coming a long. Nick and stopped working on the lawn until spring, he figures he has done all he can for now. He is just doing things around the house now. We finally officially unpacked our last box last week. He had my selves in it and I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with them. They are unpacked and on the wall now. We still need to paint all the base boards that is slowly coming. My to do list just seems to grow and never get smaller I have tons of little crafts and projects that I need to do, but just can’t seem to find the time. Well that is us for now I hope you enjoyed probably the longest post yet.
